How is the PenFed Foundation Different?

All of our programs have an element of financial literacy. 

The PenFed Foundation provides financial education in addition to emergency financial loans and home ownership grants.

How You Can Help

We need your help to achieve our mission.  We value your direct donation to help us continue our programs.  Help us continue to serve our country’s defenders. 

You can also donate stock to the PenFed Foundation either through a paper certificate or an electronic transfer with no transaction fees. To make a stock donation today, contact pauline.poh@penfed.org.

Who You Can Help

  • The ARK program helps active military members who need a loan up to $500 with a fee of $5.  You can help a servicemember avoid predatory payday lenders that charge high fees for loans.
  • The Dream Makers program is for active military members, military veterans and Department of Defense employees and provides a $5,000 grant to first-time homebuyers to help with their down payment and closing costs. 
  • The Military Heroes Fund provides emergency financial assistance to military members who have served since 2001 in Iraq or Afghanistan. 

What You Can Do 

  • Join us at our next Night of Heroes, a black-tie gala, held each spring to honor the military community. 
  • Do you or your organization host an event that you would like to benefit military heroes? Contact us about how to partner.
  • Help us fight predatory lending!  We partner with credit unions across the country to offer the Asset Recovery Kit (ARK) program.
